Product Description:

SN-310, Tri Basic Lead Sulphate, is a free-flowing, non-dusting, ion-free white powder readily dispersible in PVC resin. It offers significant performance advantages over conventional products in the market.

SN-310 is very stable and tolerant to heat, making it suitable for high-temperature applications without risk of decomposition. Due to the absence of ionic constituents and ionization potential, it is widely used for the manufacture of high volume resistivity (VR) and high surface resistivity (SR) cable insulations.

Functional Behaviour and Salient Features:
  • SN-310 has been surface modified using state-of-the-art coating techniques to enhance its dispersibility in PVC resin, directly translating to the production of high-performance products.
  • SN-310 is non-lubricating in nature and requires supplementation with 0.5-1.5 phr lubricating lead stabilizers like SN-340 (NLS) and/or SN-350 (DBLS) to enhance its processability.
  • SN-310 provides excellent weather resistance and is highly recommended for outdoor-use water pipes, conduits, rainwater pipes, and profiles. Weather resistance can be further enhanced by co-using SN-320 (DBLF).
Recommended Dosage:

3-5 phr (Depending on processing needs)

25 KG in laminated HDPE bags

Handling & Storage:
  • Use hand gloves and dust masks while handling SN-310.
  • In case of fire, use sand and inorganic chemical-based fire extinguishers.
  • Ensure that SN-310 does not come in contact with food items.
  • Store SN-310 in well-ventilated, cool places away from hot surfaces and direct sunlight.
  • Partially used bags of SN-310 must be closed/sealed promptly.
