Product Description
SN-340 is a non-dusting white smooth powder similar to dibasic lead stearate but provides greater lubricity and less heat stability when used alone.
It is often used in combination with primary stabilizers such as TBLS, DBLP, and Barium Stearate. SN-340 is modified to prevent surface blooming,
even at usage levels 50% higher than recommended.
Functional Behavior and Salient Features
- SN-340 is an efficient lubricant, co-stabilizer, and rheology control agent for various PVC formulations (both filled plasticized and rigid).
- When used with other metallic stearates, it exhibits synergism, providing greater clarity, heat, and color stability in plasticized PVC formulations.
- Its novel production process and state-of-the-art surface coating enhance solubility in the PVC matrix, providing blooming resistance to the final product.
Recommended Dosage
0.5-2.0 phr, depending on processing requirements and use of co-lubricants.
Packing
25 KG in laminated synthetic bags.
Handling & Storage
- Use hand gloves and dust masks while handling SN-340.
- In case of fire, use sand and inorganic chemical-based fire extinguishers only.
- Store in well-ventilated, cool places away from hot surfaces and direct sunlight.
- Securely reseal partially used bags immediately after use.
- Store on wooden pallets, preferably not exceeding 10 bags in height.
